Rattle privacy

Updated October 7, 2026 · Applies to Rattle on iPhone, iPad and Android

Your game stays on your device. Rattle has no ads, accounts or in-app purchases. Gameplay works offline. We use gameplay analytics to understand and improve the levels.

Who operates Rattle?

JFun LLC, 2108 N St, Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816, USA. Contact hello@jfun.ai about privacy or support.

Data stored on your device

Rattle saves your level progress, stars, earned coins, bead theme, Daily Jar results and streak, and settings locally. We do not upload your saved game as analytics.

Gameplay analytics

Release builds use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand level difficulty and improve Rattle. Reporting runs in the background and does not interrupt play. This includes:

  • Gameplay interactions such as level starts, clears and failures, stars, taps used, rattles, coins earned and spent, Daily Jar plays and results, and tutorial progress.
  • A randomly generated app-instance identifier, plus standard app and device context such as app version, device model, operating system and language. On iPhone and iPad, Firebase also uses Apple’s identifier for vendor.
  • Approximate regional information derived by Google from the connection’s IP address. Rattle does not request precise location access.

These records are associated with an app installation. We do not attach a name, email address or account to gameplay analytics. We do not use advertising identifiers: neither Apple’s IDFA nor the Android Advertising ID (the Android app removes that permission and disables its collection). On Android the app denies advertising consent, and Google Signals and ads personalization are turned off in our Google Analytics property. We do not use this data for targeted advertising, link it across other companies’ apps or websites, or sell it to data brokers.

Google processes analytics data for us. See Google’s privacy policy and Firebase’s privacy information. Processing may occur in the United States or other countries where Google operates.

Retention and deletion

We configure event and user data retention in Google Analytics to two months, without extending user-data retention on new activity. Google applies retention changes after 24 hours and processes deletion on its schedule. Aggregated reports are not subject to that event-level retention limit and may remain longer.

For access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests, contact hello@jfun.ai. Because gameplay analytics does not contain your name or email, we may be unable to locate an individual installation’s record from your contact details alone. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Support messages and this website

If you email us, we receive your email address and what you choose to send. We use this to respond and normally retain support correspondence for up to 12 months after a request is resolved, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.

These pages use Firebase Hosting. Hosting infrastructure processes requests, including IP addresses and technical connection information, to deliver and secure the site. These Rattle pages do not add analytics scripts, advertising cookies or third-party fonts.

Children and changes

Rattle is a general-audience puzzle game, not a service directed specifically at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared information, contact us so we can address it.

We may update this policy when Rattle’s features or data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Questions: hello@jfun.ai.
